Tutorial:
Install Hamachi and then join in any server from the forum like: Server Name: Carma 666 Pass: carmageddon
Install DosBox and then edit DOSBox Options:
_At the "[dosbox]" section put "memsize=64" (more than 64 will cause inestability)
_Now scroll down to the "[ipx]" section and replace "ipx=false" with "ipx=true"
_Under the like "# You can put your MOUNT lines here." you can create an autoexcecutable. Example:
[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.
mount c c:\c1-online
c:
ipxnet startserver
ipxnet connect localhost
carma
exit
1_ I put mount c:\c1-online because I placed my "c1-online" folder in the C: drive. This drive must contain the "carma.exe" file.
2_ If you are going to host the server put this:
ipxnet startserver
ipxnet connect localhost
If you want to join a server put this instead:
#ipxnet startserver
ipxnet connect 5.141.131.11
Being obviously 5.141.131.11 the server's IP, you can still check it at the Hamachi server.
Now go to the C1-Online folder, then to the DATA folder and edit the PATHS.TXT file replacing the original lines with the following ones:

Assuming that C:\C1-Online is where the C1-Online folder contains the carma.exe file.
Actually those are 4 lines, you can see that the first one is a dot (.)
And done, all you have to do now is open Carmageddon from DOSBOX. If it asks you for a password just type 1. You can change the pass at C1-Online\DATA\PASS.TXT
Now with Carmageddon running go to NEW NETWORK GAME. THere you can create a server, join an existing one and change your nickname. If you want to send messages in the game you will have to configure it at Options/Controls and then modify the SendMessage key.

Game Modes
Driven to Destruction: Fight to the death - Last survivor is the winner. A true derby of destruction.
Car Crusher: Continuous metal wrecking mayhem. Waste your opponents to get points, lose a point if uou waste yourself.
Carnage Accumulator: Giblet mode: Create more gibs than anyone else.
Checkpoint Stampede: First one to go through all checkpoints - in any order - is the winer.
Last one through each checkpoint - in order - is knocked out.
Terminal Tag: the clock ticks up for the car that is "it". You're knocked out when it reaches the limit.
Fox and Hounds: The fox clock ticks up towards a target. Hit him to stop his clock and start yours.
